Draw No Bet Predictions: How to Price Them Yourself
Turn home, draw and away odds into a fair DNB price, then see how Bet9ja and BetKing settle draws, extra time, postponed games and void acca legs.
A draw no bet prediction backs one team to win with the draw taken out of play: if the match ends level, the selection is void under the standard market definition instead of lost. The real question is not who wins but whether the price is fair, and you can check that yourself from the home, draw and away odds on any coupon before the pick goes on your slip.
What a draw no bet prediction is really telling you
A DNB tip says one side will win, and that a level scoreline costs you nothing but time. Bet9ja puts it plainly in its Draw no Bet market wording: when the game ends in a draw at the end of regular time, the selection is void (as of October 2026).
So every pick carries two parts, the team and the price. Tipster pages publish draw no bet predictions for Super Eagles qualifiers, NPFL weekends and Premier League Saturdays, and most of them give you only the team. The price is where value lives or dies, and that is the part you can test without trusting anybody's form guide.
How to work out a fair DNB price from match-result odds
Take the draw out of the three-way market and share its chance between the two teams. The price left for your team is its fair draw no bet price.
- Read the home, draw and away prices for the match on the coupon.
- Turn each price into an implied chance by dividing one by it. A shorter price means a bigger chance.
- Add the home and away chances together and leave the draw out.
- Divide your team's chance by that total. This is its share of every result that is not a draw.
- Divide one by that share. The answer is your team's fair DNB price.
Say Enyimba host Rangers in an NPFL derby with a WAT afternoon kickoff. Run the three prices through those steps on your phone calculator and you have a benchmark before team news drops. Because the bookmaker's margin sits inside all three prices, the figure you get is the market's own view with the draw stripped out. It is a benchmark, not a forecast: it tells you what the odds already say and nothing about who will actually win on the pitch.
Checking published draw no bet predictions for value
Put any tipster's pick next to two numbers: your fair price and the DNB price the bookmaker actually offers.
- If the offered DNB price sits above your fair figure, the market is paying more than its own match-result odds imply.
- If it sits below, you are paying extra for the draw cover, however confident the prediction sounds.
- If the tipster quotes no price at all, there is nothing to check, so treat the pick as an opinion rather than a value call.
None of this promises a winning slip. A fair price only means you are not overpaying for the outcome you chose, whatever naira stake you put behind it.
Why regular time decides a DNB slip in cup ties
DNB settles on the score after normal time plus stoppage time, so a knockout match that goes to extra time or penalties is graded at the regulation whistle.
BetKing's football rules say the scheduled match time includes stoppage time but leaves out extra time and any penalty shootout (as of October 2026). Bet9ja's DNB wording points the same way with its reference to the end of regular time. For a Super Eagles knockout game at AFCON or a CAF Confederation Cup tie involving an NPFL side, that is the detail that settles your slip: level at full time means void, even if your team wins the shootout and goes through.
Abandonment follows a similar logic. On BetKing, a match abandoned before 90 minutes are completed is void except for bets whose outcome was already decided when play stopped (as of October 2026).
Postponed matches: Bet9ja and BetKing set different deadlines
Bet9ja and BetKing give a postponed match different windows before voiding the bets, so the same rescheduled fixture can be dead on one site and still live on the other.
| Bookmaker | Postponed or interrupted match | Rule as of October 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Bet9ja | Bets stand only if the match is completed by midnight WAT on the day after the original date | General sport rules |
| BetKing | Bets stay open for 48 hours after the original date, then are void | Football rules |
Bet9ja's postponement deadline at midnight WAT is the tighter of the two, while BetKing keeps bets open longer before it voids them. If rain or a pitch inspection pushes an NPFL fixture back, read the rule of the bookmaker that holds your slip, not the one a tipster happens to use.
What happens to a void DNB leg in an accumulator
On BetKing, a void leg in a multiple is dropped and the rest of the bet continues as normal (as of October 2026). A drawn DNB leg on a weekend acca of Premier League games therefore does not kill the slip, and the remaining legs settle without it.
Punters ask
What is draw no bet in football?
It is a bet on one team to win in which a draw is not a loss. If the match finishes level, the selection is void under the standard market definition, so only a defeat for your team beats you.
What happens if you bet on a soccer game and they tie?
On a draw no bet selection, a tie makes the bet void. Bet9ja judges the draw at the end of regular time, and BetKing settles football without extra time or penalties, so a cup tie level at the regulation whistle is void even if someone goes through later.
Does draw no bet mean you get your money back?
A draw settles the selection as void rather than lost. Inside a BetKing accumulator, the void leg is dropped and the other legs carry on as normal.
Is draw no bet a good bet?
It is only as good as its price. Work out the fair DNB price from the home, draw and away odds, compare it with what the bookmaker offers, and remember that no market guarantees a winning slip.
